Potty Business

Well, if you've checked out my sidebar in the past week, you've noticed that Rylan has officially begun potty training. About a week and a half ago, he pooped in the potty. Of course he decided to start potting on Dadurday... But, he gave me the honor of going number 2 in the potty before I left for the day. Since then, he has good times and not so good times. He grasps the situation, but I think he gets preoccupied and just lets it go. He's doing a pretty good job. We've come a along way from just two weeks ago. Interestingly enough, he used to cry when we tried putting training pants on him instead of a diaper. Now, if we let him run around butt naked, he begs for a towel. We put a towel down on the couch, computer chair, or his recliner when he's butt naked just in case. Well, he has figured out that the towel is there for pee mistakes, and so now he wants a towel...

As I mentioned before, Ry knows all his letters and sounds. Now his big thing is playing reading/memory games on the letters site. This is what parenting is. I am thankful everyday to have our sweet little Rylan Chase. :-)
